I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. ~ Romans 12:1 If we have given our lives over to the Lord then he has granted us the mercy of forgiving our sins, great and small. What should we be willing to do to show our gratitude to God for such a great gift? If we continue to behave the same way we always have are we really saved; what have we sacrificed? We should we be willing to sacrifice our old lives to show our gratitude for what he’s done for us. God’s holiness knows no bounds and we will never be as holy as he is but that doesn’t mean he excuses us from trying. Each day we must reject the earthly desires that lead us to sinfulness. Each day we must seek the face of God and his will for our lives. Each day we must go to him in prayer and supplication, thanking him for his provision and praising him for his greatness!
