I appreciate everyone’s feedback. Obviously people forget that Dris is from London, where Reggae and Dancehall is very prominent to this day. The track is 6 years old, from an album Dris and I was working on. I pray that when “journalists” do research on the who, what, when and where….that they get all of the important information. So, the opinions of the song are what they are…opinions. However…..let me be clear. It’s “Grammy Award Winning Producer, DJ, College Professor and Head of The Hip-Hop Institute At NCCU, Duke University Professor, Harvard Fellow, and Director of Creative OutReach and Business Development at LRG, 9th Wonder….holding the moleskine Journal……”homeboy” just doesn’t say enough.
