I arose this morning with thoughts of the New Year and what - TopicsExpress

I arose this morning with thoughts of the New Year and what changes I should make while I still have some years left and the main recurring thought that I had was how I come across to my family and friends. I am starting to get the feeling that all my sarcastic posts may get on a lot of peoples nerves so I have decided to stop. From this moment on I will only be posting pictures of animals, babies, food and selfies. As far as comments go I will restrict my comments to political, religious, environmental, food and health issues. Of course I will increase my number of selfies, my current location and my current outlook on life and guidelines to save all of humanity. I also understand that my brand of humor is not for everyone, therefore I will only share those bits of antics that my granddaughter brings home from preschool and I will filter them before posting. Last but not least, if I have any sensual thoughts I will save them for the confessional and not the worldwide web. I just want to fit in. Is that so wrong? :( __________________________________________________________ It’s sarcasm, Josh.” “Sarcasm?” “It’s from the Greek, sarkasmos. To bite the lips. It means that you aren’t really saying what you mean, but people will get your point. I invented it, Bartholomew named it.” “Well, if the village idiot named it, I’m sure it’s a good thing.” “There you go, you got it.” “Got what?” “Sarcasm.” “No, I meant it.” “Sure you did.” “Is that sarcasm?” “Irony, I think.” “What’s the difference?” “I haven’t the slightest idea.” “So you’re being ironic now, right?” “No, I really don’t know.” “Maybe you should ask the idiot.” “Now you’ve got it.” “What?” “Sarcasm.” ― Christopher Moore, Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christs Childhood Pal Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Ill show myself out.
