I arrived at Abbey Missionary Language School in January 1969. I had to learn the English Language in order to be accepted at Spurgeons College. My fiancé arrived in December 1969. I went to Spurgeons and she stayed to take the Cambridge lower and proficiency tests. We married at Abbey Road Baptist Church in April 3, 1971. In June 1972 we went back to Brazil to teach New Testament at the Baptist Seminary of Parana. In September 1979 we came to Canada as Missionary in a project of Canadian and Brazilian Mission to reach Portuguese Speaking people with the message of the Gospel. There are thousands of them in Canada. We are now retired enjoying our eight grandchildren. God bless you all, Joao and Lucimar Garcia.
