I arrived here at Govardhan last evening at about 5pm. I’ve been provided a very nice apartment to stay in. Bir Krishna Maharaja is staying very close by. This morning, a group of devotees went on Radha Kunda Praikrama with Maharaja. We left at 6am so it was dawn, and a little cool on the auto ricksha getting there. Maharaja was taking us to so many amazing places that I’d never seen before, and I was getting video footage with my small hand held, stabilised GoPro gimbal. Then, at one point the gimbal stopped working because the batteries were low, so I thought as soon as we get to the next place, I’ll sit down and change them. We reached the next place, and came into a courtyard, so I sat myself down to one side and started changing the batteries. Suddenly I started hearing Maharaja glorifying this saintly person and he was using the word scientist. It took me a short while, but I suddenly realised that we were right there at Sripada’s samadhi at Gopal Manipuri Mandir!! I immediately went to hear what Maharaja was saying. My emotions began rising. He spoke so nicely. Once he finished speaking, we circumambulated Sripada’s samadhi. Just before we left, I walked right up to the Srila Sripada’s picture on the samadhi altar, to pay my obeisances, and the tears started flowing. It was a very magical moment for me. Surprise and ecstasy combined. Later, after the parikrama was over, we returned to Gopal Manipuri Mandir and went up on the roof to fly the helicopter and get some aerial shots of Radha Kunda. So nice. And this is only the first day!!
