I asked everyone about their cell carrier a while back, and received a lot of responses, from civilians and phone personnel alike. I gathered my numbers on my data usage, Moms call time, our texts, etc, and I went into talk to my carrier. My bill was $147.00 a month for one smart phone, and one dumb phone. I told the young man that I wasnt leaving until we got it down to a hundred bucks. He looked at some numbers, did a little ciphering, and asked me, what if we can do it for seventy five?.. I of course initially refused, because Id said a hundred.. He was serious.. Without giving up any quality of service, by owning my own phone, and swapping plans around, I just about cut my bill in half. There are recently some great plans out there. US Cell is currently buying out contracts also, so if you have a different carrier, and looking to get into a better plan but dont want to pay the early out fee on your carrier, they may do it for you..
