**I attended Incardnate Word Academy where these delicious grapes grew in an area of about 30 to 40 feet by at least 20 feet wide trillice. I dont remember how many vines grew, but there must have been at least 8 crooked, twisted, many armed planted grape vines. There were wooden benches under the growing vines where we sought shade from the hot Brownsville, Texas sun at recess and lunch time. **The vines grew in the yard where the IWA convent was, one third grade class, the 7th class, 8th grade class,and the music room where piano lessons were given by the sisters. **There was a bell and a long chain at the convent...each sister had a number...the number of bings called the sister who was needed at the back enterance. And NO CHILD DARED TO TOUCH THAT CHAIN JUST FOR FUN. (Very different from our cell phones...lol) **The sisters also make wine for daily Mass in the private chapel and host for Mass. We were sometimes given the remainder of the sheet of bread where the circular unblessed host HAD been cut from. ***When I visited Sr. Evelyn this passed September/October, she told me of this vine and ask that I pray that it grows. PLEASE JOIN ALL OF US IN PRAYING THAT PART OF OUR HISTORY AT IWA CONTINUES TO GROW.
