I attended a very special birthday party today. One, that I was very honored to be a part of. Ivory turned 23 years old and will probably be in the Guinness World Record as the oldest living male. I have never seen so much love, care and compassion given to a feline as much as Ivory has received. It is so important to preserve their lifeline & conserve the species because their numbers are dwindling in the wild. Captive breeding and ownership of these cats is very important in order to raise awareness about their conservation and maintaining their natural habitat (what is left of it). In the wild, the average life span is 12 years and female leopards live longer than male leopards, so Ivorys age is exceptional!!!
