I attended my first (and last) black Friday yesterday (with my fam - TopicsExpress

I attended my first (and last) black Friday yesterday (with my fam after our meal) at a Wal-Mart. While Matt and I hung out off the the side waiting for the frenzy to settle down, what I observed was nerve racking, yet a wake up call to true human nature. Because of our tech based society, people forget we are still animals (and even scientifically classified as such). I imagined in my mind that the items were actually a limited amount of food in some kind of apocalyptic survival situation. That being said, I think on a social network where there are jerks, trolls, and people you just disagree with and wish you could punch - I think it is easy to forget how we need each other (i.e. society and other humans) for our best chance of survival. (You also need to take care of those with next to nothing for your best chance as well - refer to the part about us being animals, I think beyond a bleeding heart, a Nash Equilibrium applies to charity/social programs.) Well, that was deep. So I should let you all know I also got a nifty cheap blue ray player to replace my broken DVD player that drive my mom crazy every time she visits. :)
