I attended the Bradley Manning trial today, along with Col Ann - TopicsExpress

I attended the Bradley Manning trial today, along with Col Ann Wright and 20 other activists, including a contingent of boys from a private high school in Conn. Led by a high profile libertarian math teacher, the group studied the issues for a week before camping near the Ft Meade military base last night and showing up in suits this morning. Said one high schooler, "We need more people like Manning to tell the truth." Amen. Apparently, Manning has been instructed not to look back at his supporters in the courtroom, but he turned sideways just enough to know a woman in red was sitting in the second row, smiling at him. Others wore their black t-shirts that read "truth", as no one is allowed to wear their "Free Bradley Manning" shirts. During the recess, we briefly met with defense lawyer David Coombs to thank him and ask him to communicate our gratitude to Bradley.
