I attended the Full Gospel church Conference on Saturday.As I listened to Bishop Makutsoane,I found that he is one of the gospel truth ramnants. Paul said,Woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!(1 Cor 9:16).Bishop Makutsoane said(and I support him) many preachers in our day dont have the passion Paul had for proclaiming the truth.They seem to be more concerned with avoiding statements or truths that might be offensive.In their desire to conform to the worlds shifting standards,they compromise and twist the words of the Bible instead of confronting evil with courage and love.I agree with him by saying,through the prophet Jeremiah,God warns those who distort His words.He declared His opposition to the religious leaders who cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness(Jer 23:32).Instead,God urged the prophets,Speak My word faithfully.(v.28)Pentacostals,today more than ever,we need to pray that men of God will courageously hold forth His Word.
