I attended the movie Cowspiracy last week, the premise of which is that animal agriculture is more damaging to the environment than virtually any other human activity (including fossil fuel use for transportation). And the movie made the case that the major environmental groups and government agencies were complicit in not addressing this 800 pound animal in the room, often focusing on issues of considerably less significance. So I wanted to check out some of the assumptions, and heres a recent paper on the subject . . .
