I awoke this morning with the burning desire to share an urgent prayer request with my FB family. (I believe it to be a prompting of the Holy Spirit). I would like all of my friends and prayer warriors to pray for my son-in-love, Kent. He would not ask for himself but no one knows the pain he lives with everyday except for his family. Kent injured his right hand at work back in 2009 (and we all know just how quick and efficient Workmens Comp is). His injury developed into what is referred to RSD Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. It is a rare disorder of the sympathetic nervous system that is characterized by chronic, severe pain. The symptoms begin with burning pain, especially in a hand, finger or arm. The skin over the affected area becomes swollen and inflamed. It becomes EXTREMELY sensitive touch, to hot and cold temperatures and to water. RSD is unique in that it affects the nerves, skin, muscles, blodd vessels and bones all at the same time. And there is decreased ability to move the affected part. The cause of RSD is not fully understood and there is no cure .... except by the healing hand of Jehovah Rophi (The Lord our Healer)! Kent is an AMAZING husband to my daughter, Erica and an AWESOME dad to my 3 granddaughters, Aubrey, Amelia and Kadence. How he lives everyday with the pain he is in is beyond my comprehension. The ONLY cure for Kent is for God to show mercy on him and heal him. I believe in the power of prayer and I ask, not for myself, but for Kent & Erica and my girls, that you pray for ALL of them. Thank you!
