I awoke yesterday to dreams of my recently departed grandfather. I was listening to him sing on the church bus. I dont remember him ever playing guitar but dreams are funny that way. Then I started into the day looking forward to dinner to celebrate my girlfriends bday. And a very good dinner it was... with a bit of distraction. My mother told me of a few troubling acts that recently happened to her. My protective nature was enticed to action, but I let it go. Then there was the recent public philosophical debate between my mother and girlfriend in which case I put on my ref shirt\ took an auditory and visual vacation. Then I watched Hope Floats which covers a topic tragically and briefly that lies all to close to my heart. And yet I still seem posative. I feel like I am on a trampoline spring back above it all. My grandfather singing to me, my mother and girlfriend agreeing religion is a gift of life and necessary (though ones understanding may differ), that god stands for my mother where my heart wishes it could, and my conviction and drive being renewed so I might do better in my trying times. Such is my life of late.
