I beg anyone considering declawing their cat...DONT! I adopted two different cats that I didnt realize were declawed. I have an outside cat that has been declawed. The dogs decided to have fun and chase her tonight because she got in their yard. Luckily, I was out there and yelled at them. The poor thing could not defend herself, climb a tree or even scale the fence. I also have an inside cat that has been declawed. He will not use a litterbox with a lid, the other cats torment him because they know he cannot fight back, and he is scared to death to come out of hiding for fear he may get cornered. If you are considering declawing your cat, then do some research and pull out all your fingernails to see how it would feel! Then get smart and go buy a scratching post!
