I believe I was just called a pig with lipstick because Im a solid NO vote on A1. My reasoning has NOTHING to do with outside groups, HSUS, Monsanto or any other contrived scare tactic being promoted. Matter of fact when this piece of legislation first hit the house docket it was a protectionist racket whereby ONLY farmers and ranchers get to have constitutional protections to farm and ranch. Now this isnt about the right of the people to grow their own food or to consume the food of their own choosing, no this is about protecting ONE industry in the state and that industry is Agriculture and ONLY agriculture. Meanwhile various other industries within the state also have to battle outside groups and fend off legislative shutdowns of their industry such as the forestry sector, the transportation sector, and others too numerous to mention. However we arent concerned with those industries we prefer just to tackle one and one only. Keep in mind pretty much the only job a legislator has is to secure the rights of the citizens of the state yet Morningland Dairy, The Dollarhites and countless others have seen the wrath of government and legislation run amok, where were the elected, well perhaps they didnt have time to secure the rights of these people.....
