I believe in helping those that are down, but I really dont believe that letting the bunch of people who regularly doss in the doorways of the empty W H Smith shop is helping them. This afternoon there appeared to be at least eight people, and their bedding etc., congregating there - the impression given to shoppers, passers by and visitors to the town, especially those with children is horrendous. I dont know if vagrancy is against the law but Im sure that drinking in a public place must be. There are town and borough councillors contributing to this forum - can any of you advise what can, or should be done to help get these folk into some sort of care establishment and make Bognors main shopping street fit for purpose. Incidentally, unlike the Romanian problem in central London, these folk are British.
