I believe in the concept of "Citizen Initiative Petition". But like anything it can get carried away. Baggage handlers, airplane cleaners and other enter level airport employees recently gathered enough signatures to place on the ballot an initiative that would require employers to pay them at least $15 an hour. According to them "they do all the work and others reap the benefits". Where does it end? A new $15 an hour minimum wage? What business it is of government to interfere in the free enterprise of labor/management in setting pay rates? Oh right there is no Free in Free!
