I believe in the power of prayer and thanks to all of you that took the time to pray for Presley... its working. At long last, tests results are showing that her blood is clearing of the infection. We are feeling much lighter and a great sense of relief tonight. Theres a long road ahead. 2-3 more days in hospital then at least 3 weeks of IV antibiotics at home. You are making a difference. Thank-you! Sadly, todays uplifting news was dampened by the news that a young lady I grew up with and supported through her cancer journey passed away this afternoon. She is a single Mom that fought hard to live for her young daughter Olivia. Stacy VanWyck spent the last few years dedicated to creating memories for Olivia to cherish after she was gone. She did it well and I am so proud of her for the job she did. Please pray for Olivia and her Grandma as they pick up the pieces and build a future that honours Stacy. Im not liking 2014 so far. I hope the last part of the year makes up for it. God willing, I leave for Asia Friday for an adventure of a life time. Dont put off your dreams or settle for anything less than love and joy... life is precious. Much gratitude! Melanie
