I believe that a person who has been wrongly accused and persecuted for something that they did not do turn to Christ because that person knows Christ did nothing too. Like St. Kolbe and all the Saints and Martyrs. They also did nothing and all turned to Christ. They took up the Cross like Jesus did. They surrendered their souls to Jesus to take care of them. History will also note this. And Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to them and they received peace. Spiritual peace. This person who has been wrongly accused has paid dearly for something they did not do. But was persecuted and sentenced for life. This person has taken up this cross and is just a sliver of the Cross Jesus carried. Not that they are not a sinner but this thing they were wrongly accused of doing they did not do. I believe people who are wrongly accused are closer to God than their accuser or people who really have committed a crime. I believe most people who really are guilty of terrible things they have done despise God and turn to evil only because they have committed such a terrible thing and are selfish and arrogant, proud and curse God for getting caught. And they pray and make deals with God to take this away from them that they truly did do and when they are sentenced to this terrible thing that they did... then they hate God. History will tell you this. But those who have been persecuted wrongly for something they did not do are very close to God. They belong to God because all through their persecution no one stood by them. They turned to God. They prayed not for themselves either because they knew they did not do this... So why pray to God to help them out of it especially if they did not do it. They prayed to God to take care of them and that anything that came their way they knew that God would not allow them to be without Him. He would not abandon them because they belonged to Him. I can say this now because I have been wrongly accused for something I did not do. Something to think about tonight.
