I believe that (correct me if Im wrong) we will not be having - TopicsExpress

I believe that (correct me if Im wrong) we will not be having classes tomorrow in order to give way for building inspection to see whether or not large-scale and life-threatening structural damages have been inflicted by the earthquake to our school infrastructures. I think this is perfectly normal and routine for any building for that matter. I just hope that the alternative venue we will have for our presentation tomorrow will likewise be inspected first to ensure its structural integrity and safety. I believe that the paramount consideration should not be our grades, nor the fulfillment of our academic requirements, more so, nor the schedule of our panelists. As one philosopher whose name I had forgotten said (and this statement was in our introductory course in philo), Philosophyis LIFE. I now realize why I had forgotten the philosopher who said this - because the discipline itself always tends to look away from, and forget life and revel in its abstractions. This is not simply about life (including academic) life moving on... This is about LIFE MOVING ON, SAFELY AND HAZARD-FREE... just a thought UP Polsci 2010
