I believe that pre-manufactured biogas digesters, with pressure control, temperature control, continuous operation, convenient removal of digested materials, and the ability to homogenize the input will be a big part of this movement. This would remove the guesswork from jerry rigged digesters and make the units portable so that they could serve refugee camps and other temporary sites where energy is required. These could also be connected to containerized toilet facilities to provide both energy and sanitation for large temporary venues. Once we focus on function and value rather than income and profit all these things become possible.
