I believe that the last time I voted for a Republican was Mark - TopicsExpress

I believe that the last time I voted for a Republican was Mark Hatfields final term. And I havent known Mark Farnham as long as Bam Bellows has, so Ill quote her intro: Friends helping friends time! I dont think its much of a secret that Im a Democrat. I was born in Chicago, and, God willing, I will die in Chicago, so that I will always be able to vote Democratic. Early and often. And the *last* thing I want is for the Republicans to take control of the Senate. That said. I have known Mark for some 20 years now, via the power of the internet, and Mark is not your ordinary Republican. What we *really* need is more Republicans who give a shit about poverty, and homelessness, and the things that Democrats are *supposed* to care about. Now, New Hampshires primary is 9/9 (or, 1, for you mathematicians out there), and there are 10 contenders on the Republican side, the most popular of whom, Scott Brown (previously Republican Senator of Massachusetts) is polling north of 40%, and Mark is not in the top 5. But. If we are to have a chance at survival as a nation, we need to have two functional political parties *not* out to destroy America and everyone who lives in it. And so, I am throwing my support in the Republican primary to my friend and coGeek Mark Farnham. And, should he actually *win* the primary, well talk about who Im supporting in the General. Well done, Mark. I am so very proud of you. We cant make a difference if we dont try; and I commend you from the bottom of my leftmost toe for trying. If youre in NH, consider giving him your vote (and possibly some other forms of support).
