I believe that this was written with good intentions BUT the blogger makes a few mistakes: 1. She lumps all Africans into one single, narrow minded and ignorant bunch. 2. She fails to tell the other side of this story which is how SOME African Americans feel about Africans and how they treat them. 3. She oversimplifies a very big issue - she asks Africans to identify with A-A. Why should they? I am an African married to an African-American and I am able to understand many, many issues faced by A-As and even sympathize with them. I am even affected by the same issues but I have never felt the urge to have to identify in order to connect or unify. I still identify as African; always have and always will but that does not mean I have a superiority complex nor an inferiority complex. I just am what I am. thegrio/2014/12/26/africans-in-america-african-american/
