I believe that what we critically need in the political, social and economic arena is a shift away from left, centre or right wing ideological enslavement.. I would like to see the emergence of a new mindset and new culutre, derived from and exhibited in the politics of good ideas.. Great and proven workable ideas and practices, gathered from everywhere and anywhere in the world and adapted to suit Australian conditions.. We could scour the world for best practice, state of the art ideas from anywhere in the political or social world be they of a left, centre or right wing origin or political persuasion or not.. Why not usher in a new common sense ideology for an era of, deliberately focused and intentionally apolitical, non partisan culture, the politics of good ideas and workable innovations adopted and adapted without ideological fear or favour and implemented and improved constantly for the sake of the common good and not for political expediency, corporate advantage or ideological point scoring.. Am I being too idealistically unrealistic or naive or is this a real possibility for giving us a fresh take on an open and civil, sustainable society and a refreshing openness, accessibility and approachability of, by and in, the overall political and social culture?
