I believe the two St. Louis police officers were fully justified - TopicsExpress

I believe the two St. Louis police officers were fully justified in shooting this guy. He had a knife in his hand, was not complying with verbal commands, and was approaching the officers in a threatening manner. The thing Im wondering about is what the protocol is for deciding how far out from the scene of the incident the police tape should be put up. It seems like the police were cordoning off the entire block. Is that really necessary? It seemed like overkill to me because I dont think any evidence related to the incident would go out that far. By pushing innocent bystanders that far out, it prevents the public from seeing/monitoring/recording the way the police are conducting themselves. And I dont believe that monitoring the actions of the police would interfere with the police investigation in any way whatsoever.
