I believed that if the NSAs unconstitutional surveillance of Americans was known, it would not survive the scrutiny of the courts, the Congress, and the people. But Edward Snowdens greatest fear has been realized: reforms to restrict the NSA surveillance programs have been defeated by the elected representatives Snowden pinned his hopes on. Now it is time to ask ourselves how people from all walks of life might work together to disable the infrastructure of oppression.
