I bought a new LG washer and dryer from Tawas Appliance Store because I wanted to support local Tawas businesses. I paid $100 for delivery. The dryer does not dry, it turns off after 10 minutes. After messing with it for two weeks I called them We dont service out of town, call Ernie Kryger. He didnt seem concerned that I had a brand new, expensive appliance that didnt work from day 1! I told him that I would like to return it because Kryger couldnt get over to even assess the problem for another week. He informed me that I have a repair warrantee and not a replacement warrantee. In other words, no returns, even though it was junk out of the box . Kryger came today and they have to essentially order a whole new control board and exhaust mechanism....another week and a half. I suspect, no proof, that Tawas Appliance knew it was junk and passed it off to me to make their money and leave me to deal with the problem. I am going to consult a lawyer but my advice is to NEVER buy from Tawas Appliance (He said some insulting things to me like Anyone with common sense would know..... Also, never EVER buy an appliance that doesnt have some sort of replacement warrantee. I understand that Lowes and Home Depot will give every appliance a two week replacement warrantee. Sure didnt pay off for me to deal with a small business.. I could forgive it all if the guy would have been nice....as I was nice to him!
