I bought a pumpkin pie at Walmart, yesterday... I saw it, and thought, what the heck... why not? It is, after all, my favorite pie (along with cherry). Well, I just ate a piece of it, (rather, a few bites) and let me tell you, that has got to be the WORST pumpkin pie I have EVER eaten!! Even worse than when my grandson was here, and made it for TG, and he forgot the eggs... lol! It still tasted good. :) But this pie??? Holy sh*t!!! First of all, the crust was so chewy, it was difficult to slice through the bottom of the pie with the knife. It was the total opposite of flaky. The filling was the consistency of a sticky pudding that has set in refrigerator long enough to become gobby. The taste? What taste?? There was no pumpkin flavor, or even the flavor of the spices that go in pumpkin pie. It was just... ick!! I have bought pumpkin pies at Walmart before, and it was pretty good, for a store-bought pie. But this one has convinced me to never chance it again!! BLEAH!!!
