I bought one of those switch timer things and have successfully figured out how to use it, so now I can set the slow cooker to turn on and off by its self. The question I have now is, what do those of you, who use these timers, do about food hygiene. If I was to leave home at 8.30am and dont need to slow cooker to start until 1pm, thats nearly 5 hours of it sitting before it actually starts cooking. Help?
