I bought these amazing firestarters a couple of months ago at Walmart. Not only are they the usual block of whatever it is that burns for about 15 minutes & gets the actual logs going...but one end of it is the actual match! Its just basically the ALL IN ONE firestarter for the challenged fire builder-starter person (like myself) :D & as usual I know there are several lessons I can learn from that one little/big thing...but this morning I was reading this particular group of scriptures, Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is Gods will for you...Do not quench the Spirit. Don’t brush off Spirit-inspired messages, but examine everything carefully and hang on to what is good. Avoid every kind of evil. (I Thessalonians 5:16-22) This awesome Word made me start thinking about *GOOD Fire - BAD Fire* and weve all heard the old saying if you play with fire, youre gonna get burned. I say this can be GOOD & BAD. Getting into the word of God, That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched, this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. (I John 1:1) OH HOW GOOD THIS IS to touch! It can start a flame & burns inside & cannot be contained! Then there is the BAD fire. Sin. Its all around & licking at us & the closer we get, the more dangerous it becomes. The GOOD fire purifies us & the BAD fire destroys us. Playing around with sin & continuing in it, can Quench or put out the Spirit as that scripture is teaching us, while praying always, about everything & rejoicing & being thankful...Worshiping Him & Praising Him fans the flame! But if I say Ill never mention the LORD or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. Its like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I cant do it! Jeremiah 20:9
