I bowed out of of the 2014 Canada Open yesterday Tuesday July 1st with a lost in the 2nd round to Koreas Ju Hyung Son 11-21, 8-21. Happy to make it past first round and learn what needs to be done in my game to keep moving forward. I have the best supporters around Oliver Shou for coming out taking some pictures and helping film not to mention vocal support through all my matches. Steve Smith who is always a huge motivator and keeps pushing me forwards all the time. So I thank them both and anybody else who was there supporting me as well as my coaches and training partners which I know I have a long long way to go still but every little bit from them helps. Overall the year has started out rather well with 2nd place at the Trinidad & Tobago nationals, 2 loses in South America tournaments in singles, but a win and 2nd round at Canada Open. Next week is US Open so we will see how that goes and then will take a nice little and well needed vacation before getting back to training for tournaments the later half of the year.
