I call this short story Easter weekend - Start prepping/packing on Monday for our departure on Friday. Pack little by little all week long so that I can put everything in the van Friday morning while Jon is at work (and in between feed times). Make sure to give Marshall his motion sickness tabs at least an hour before we leave (seriously...who has a dog who gets motion sickness...oh, thats right...we do). Load all of our stuff in the van. Get Jax, Jace, Jaren and the dogs in the van. Pick Jonathan up early from daycare. Praise the Lord above for an uneventful drive to Paw Paw. Immediately feed babies upon arrival so that they remain on schedule and because I meticulously planned a departure time between feeds. Unload all of the stuff filling up the back of the van. Relax for a bit with family. Put babies and Jonathan to bed. Sleep a total of one hour because three snot nosed babies took turns crying all. night. long. Hand babies off to their daddy and everyone else hanging out and head back to bed until 1:00 (for a total of six hours for the night). Load the aforementioned snot nosed babies into the van. Grab Aunt Megan so she can help transfer babies to the closest urgent care center. Six ears checked resulting in one infected ear and a round of antibiotics for Jax man. Eat pizza and hang out with a VERY tired Jonathan. Put everyone to bed after medicating for comfort. Iron clothes for church in the morning. Blessed sleep... Shower and get dressed before church. Dress the four kids for church (with help from grandma and grandpa). Finish getting myself ready. Fill up a whole row with our extended family. Hold each one of my babies throughout the service. Close my eyes and breath in their sweet scent and thank God for blessing me with four beautiful baby boys and a loving husband. Enjoy a fantastic Easter dinner prepared by my parents then spend some time with family before packing everyone and everything up to head home. Unload the kids and all of our stuff. Feed and bathe kids. Put four overly tired boys to bed then put everything from the weekend away. Never a dull moment for the Larson family but totally worth it in exchange for time spent with family this Easter weekend :)
