I called National Grid today to ask about our electric bills in Pembroke. Lets just say their customer service is slightly better than Comcast and Verizon Wireless, not a high bar. Basically I was told Massachusetts rates are only changed Nov 1 and May 1. All of our spikes this month are because of usage. Not sure how this is possible but this is the info I was given. I would suggest calling them and asking to compare usage. They of course could not help me do that today because the bill is in my wifes name…(understandable). Still struggling to understand how so many of us in town could be so surprised by our bills this month….
