I called my dad today to learn that his health is getting worse each passing day. For years now I have been praying that God would heal him. My prayers have not been answered. I dont understand why God doesnt heal people who pray with faith. Then again, I dont really understand why he heals those he does. Over the years, Ive learned that I probably never will. Whatever happens with my dad, it wont shake my faith - God doesnt owe me an explanation. Ive learned to rejoice when healing does occur and to be comfortable with mystery when it doesnt.
