I came home tonight to a storm brewing to the southwest of Vail, probably close to the Mexican border. The cool part was that the Milky Way was clearly above it. So, after many shots, this is the best one. If you look closely, youll see the bolt is massive, extending from the top of the clouds all the way to the ground strike.....Canon 7D, ISO 1600, f4, 23 seconds, 42mm. Minor post processing in Lightroom to remove coloring in favor of Sepia to highten the bolt visibility. Minor cropping.
