I came in a while ago and stopped up in the front pasture for a minute. We have huge fire ant mounds on the place. And they get really active after a rain. I was giving them all a present sprinkled on top of their mounds. (I thoroughly detest the things. I am forever getting into them. And they will wrap you up before you even know it!) But a man drove by in a little blue car. He was driving very slowly and waving at me like he knew me. But I didnt recognize him. He went on. I didnt bother to wave back at him. Guess Im not too neighborly? Well, a little while later, I look out and I see that same little blue car parked on the road, in front of our place. Our for sale sign is gone. I took it down a while back. Because we have decided to wait a while and try again, to sell our place. Stuff like that, when I see people casing your place or whatever, gives me the creeps. We have no neighbors, that you can see anyway. This man was not familiar to me either. Sometimes, people will be driving along and then slow down to look at the horses. But they were all up here at the house. Only a few donkeys up in the front pasture. He went on after a few minutes. At least I hope he did. I have often thought about carrying a pistol with me, as I work around the place. For snakes or any other such things. Maybe I should start carrying one to protect myself from the human snakes as well? If I see him cruising the road again, I may get his license plate number. One just never knows.
