I can attest to the crazy stigma of the "black dog syndrome", as I have had the pleasure of fostering a black labbie momma and her 5 pups, some of whom I have been fostering for almost 6 months now. The black pups get overlooked over and over again, while I had app after app on the one yellow lab in the litter. I feel so sorry for my black pups that are growing up in a foster home for most of their puppyhood, not knowing the security of their forever home. :-( Remember, color is only fur deep!
