I can certainly agree with all the studies that have been done on why we are here living on Earth, where we came from, what we are here to do and how we should live life. But all of that laid aside I give music the highest place of honor. Music is the breath of the people. The art of the prophets and the only art that can really calm, sooth the agitations of the soul or totally inspire people to go further, climb higher, seek more. It is the voice of the Natural world. We hear it from every specie. We center our lives, and ceremonies of living around songs. I was taught that every human being has a song. We just need to find it. It is our own power song. I remember one person told me one time that they sang like a frog and so therefore they never sang. I shared with him a teaching I had been given. If only the birds with the best voices sang, the woods would be very quiet. We are taught in our teachings and told that the world was created by music, as Sky Woman sang the first women’s song as she danced around the Earth helping to create a place of beauty for all of us to live. Music moves us, heals us and gives us life.
