I can do all things, though Christ who strengthens me. Though I may count the world as loss. All things are made subject to Him. So, I can only assume that I can actually do all things "according to" the Word of creation. That is not to say that I am anything, but to know that in Him, I AM, everything. Is it robbery to call the One who calls me brother, Brother? First I make myself less, so that He may become more, and by that I resist and turn away from the trappings of the world. We must find the strands that bind us, cut free from them, and grab the rope from Him. We must bind ourselves to each other according to perfect love. Unity of the Spirit and not the spirit of unity, and of sound and tested doctrine. I do not think we are Athenians, and should sit and wait for something new. But we should fulfill our purpose from the beginning. A return to our innocence. Our child like nature, of faith in our Father, who is our True Provider. And yes look upon the sparrows. And compare them with the toil of our hands. Do we not build up store houses in our lives? Draw abundance to ourselves for fear of lack. Show me anywhere true faith, and I will show you a batter and beaten bum preaching the gospel every time. To many of us affliction has become hitting a red light when we are in a hurry, or our faith is that He will bring us money. I notice He bypasses that part a lot in scripture and does stuff like making food fall from the sky. hmmm
