I can feel the itch at the back of my throat crawl down further. I feel it when I swallow. Its especially unnerving to feel it progress down my throat because I imagine its some swift infection that will... or an insect that made it into the oatmeal cookies Ive just eaten about 8 of after eating 6 of them on my way home from helping someone with his computer. Some sort of burrowing creature thats found its way into the the roof of my mouth and is hungry hungry hungry for more of my flesh, to suck of the cavern by which all my food passes. I think I might feel something in my heart now. This isnt the warmth I should feel from oatmeal cookies. Or perhaps it was the whole milk I drank with it. I suspect that so much missing milk at the Real Canadian Superstore wasnt just them running out of stock but their refrigerators breaking down or some sort of infection with the milk. Will I make it through the night? Will milk and cookies be my doom? Do I swallow more than I chew, so irritating myself? Or did my telling the old man I helped tonight about the story I might write and about the most amazing sword swallower of all time spread some bad karma on me? Hm. I think I just needed to stop swallowing for a while. I feel a bit better....
