I can guarantee you this: If I were still selling internet service for Comcast, and I told a customer they could have it at a promotional rate for 12 months, but would also have to pay extra for Fast Lane access on certain sites, they would never go for it. Doesnt matter what political affiliation that person adhered to, it would not sell. And the jobs that would be lost, Mr. Speaker, would be the ones belonging to the sales reps on the phones and out in the field by the ISP companies for not being able to push this lemon onto consumers. As Franken said, weve always had Net Neutrality, we need to keep it that way. If you dont like having sites blocked on your work computer, imagine having them blocked at home by your own ISP as well. It is a real possibility that Cruz, Boehner and other politicians are misleading their base about.
