I can not believe what a difference a week makes, this time a week yesterday I could not wait to get into theater as my left hip was literally grinding and grating away very audibly every time I so much as moved an inch, plus I was confined to a wheelchair. Today I have a Huge Smile on my face, I have a silent shiny new hip and I am able to walk further and further each day with my crutches, albeit back and forth through living room, hall, dining room, kitchen etc and up and down the stairs a couple of times a day. Hoping when the District Nurse comes on Tuesday to change my dressing that I will be able to venture outside for a walk round the corner and back. To anyone who is waiting for a T.H.R (total hip replacement) and is worried , dont be! I can not remember being pain free until now for many years. Yes it is still sore and muscles need to heal and get strong again, but compared to the pain before this is, scuse the pun, this is a walk in the park ☺ and hopefully that is just what I will be doing in a couple of months time.
