I can not thank my friends Sandra and her son Michael enough for - TopicsExpress

I can not thank my friends Sandra and her son Michael enough for all the loving care they have taken of me the last two days. As for the Fireies, Ambos and staff at the Apollo Bay Hospital...THANK YOU! And for those wonderful men and women who were brave enough to come to my aid, called for the emergency services and even stayed with me till the trained personnel arrived and I was out of any more danger, I cant thank you all enough! May blessings be upon you all. On Thursday after choir and filling the car with petrol I picked up a few things from Woollies and drove to meet Sandra and Michael in Apollo Bay to see the new home theyre going to rent and have a cuppa together. A van and I got stuck behind a ute doing 50 - 60kms in an 80 zone. Passed him safely near Barramunga and had a pleasant drive until! ... approaching another bend near to Skenes Creek I was braking from 60km to round the curve at about 40kms. I felt the car begin to skid and tried to right it, but it got worse and I hit the upper embankment. Before I knew what was happening, I was completely out of control, shooting across the road to the hillside down. I was trying to brake, ease off the brake, hold onto the steering wheel and I dont know what else. A feeling rushed through me that was quite fatalistic yet calm that this really was it. I called out, Please God, no! I dont know quite what I meant by that, mostly that my family and friends would have to deal with unexpected and not very nice death. Before I had finished getting those words out of my mouth the car was turning around and going downhill backwards. and was caught and held by two? trees. The people in the black van whod been following me all that way and I think two other car loads stopped and promptly got not only the emergency services organised they came down the bush, checked me out and kept me safe. Lovely young men who I think U turned to come back and help cleared scrub etc to help make a way for the emergencies to get down. I am sorry I do not know every ones names but I hope you all get this messages information: I THANK YOU ALL more than words can say. My poor little car has had it. Almost $60 petrol and nearly $50 of shopping as well as all sorts of contents that were still in the car from other trips are all lost. The wonderful tow man I have been told found many of my things, including my purse. Bless him!! I hope RACV will cover his towing costs otherwise Im going to have to pay the poor man in installments. Exhausted now. will inform progress as I can.
