I can now, at this age, fully appreciate how amazing my parents were for coping in a good - humored and patient way with my virulent, obsessive, pre-teen crush on Scott Baio. My mom created a full wall - size collage of his photos for my birthday and my dad obtained a signed 8x10 glossy. It wasnt truly Scott s signature but how could Dad have known? He wasnt a regular reader of Teen Beat and Tiger Beat magazine, both of which I purchased every week with my baby sitting money. I guess Im okay not having married Mr. Baio. I sure did kiss my pillow a lot and pretend it was him.
