I can now make it through this song without crying.....that is until it shifts into high gear at 2:12. And then they pour out shamelessly. 30 years after hearing it on the car radio, my wife of 2 years on a long distance trip, feeling so lucky, not knowing that 13 years later she would feel the need to strike out on her own. Memories of love are all I have now to sustain me in the realm of romantic love 16 years after that separation. Yet, I still love her in that way and cherish those days.
