I can only imagine sitting there in utter awe in 1741 when Handel composed this incredible masterpiece. George Frideric Handel, on staff as a musical composer to the British Monarchy. I wonder what setting (besides many concerts around Ireland, England, and other locations) that Handel performed this. A room filled with courtesans and perhaps King George himself sitting and intently listening to this perfection of music in a hall in the palace? Absolutely incredible masterpiece of music.
