I can only liken the Governor of Machakos, His Exellency Hon. Alfred Mutua to the biblical Joseph the son of Jacob. Sometimes last year when he hinted to the public that he wanted to contest the gubernatorial position, he was dismissed by political pundits as a green horn and a dreamer, having performed dismally as a former Government spokesman due to his open bias against one of the co- principal in coalition government. Just like Joseph in the bible who was dismissed by his brothers as a day dreamer and sold as a slave to Egyptian merchants, we equally dismissed him (Hon. Mutua) as a neophyte and a nonstarter and instead glorified our most vocal politicians. Now the erstwhile novice has turned his big dream into a reality with a mega project that will soon turn around the economy of Machokos County translating into immense opportunities for Investment and jobs! Salvaging the people of Machakos from the doldrums hopelessness and pangs of poverty and hunger. Just like Joseph later salvaged his own brothers during famine in the land of Israel, since he had been elevated by King Pharaoh and was staying at the palace in Egypt courtesy of prophesy and dreams!
