I can recall one time when I asked for prayers for my family. On - TopicsExpress

I can recall one time when I asked for prayers for my family. On the night following my mothers stroke--when I thought that God was about to take her to heaven. At around 3 a.m., I informed the Facebook world that our worlds had collapsed--that mom suffered a horrible stroke--and with great humility, I asked for prayers for her. Tonight, I ask for prayers one more time. Her condition continues to be complex. We had hoped by this afternoon that her body would allow nutrition to be sustaining her. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. Tomorrow, I will be meeting with a doctor to go over options. One of the reasons why I love to photograph families is that in each photo session, I try to capture an image that would remind me of the love that I share with my own mother. I especially like to photograph mothers and their sons. The mother/son photograph is iconic, in my opinion. I try to create an image that the son will treasure for several decades--when his mother is old and gray--and bedridden--and can no longer talk or walk--when her days may be few. I try to bring the love that they shared into a photograph. In essence--I try to re-create the love that I feel for my own mother. So tonight--I go through my own images and I remember our happy times together--and a cherish the moments as she sleeps. And yes, with great humility once again, I ask for more chances to spend with her. I ask for prayer for my mother. I went home this evening for the first time in days--took a nap--showered--and brought my Superman T-Shirt with me. Now Im ready for my meeting with the doctor tomorrow...
