I can relate much on this: Well said Ariem Cinco!!! People remember how embarrassing the experience is to be reprimanded for not being able to complete a task on time, not the fact that the delivery was just delayed for a couple of minutes. Some of those in the position are task-oriented that it doesnt matter how things get done just as long as that they get done. What is worse is the fact that a leader gives the responsibility to someone but the same person is not given the authority to make it happen. Another ugly truth in some organizations, this may include the organizations where we belong, is that some of our so-called leaders would command us to get things done without them having the clear understanding on how these things actually get done. Another ugly truth that some of our leaders are guilty of is that they only recognize us when they want something done or when something goes wrong but not when we have done something right and commendable. And what is sad is the fact that not all of them would have the courage to apologize when they have done something wrong, instead they would assert that they are right.
